“ Went here Christmas Day! Great service everyone is super friendly. The prices are great and the food is very good. ”
“ I recently had a friendly lunch with friends at Al-Bos Bakery and Meat Market. This Bosnian-led restaurant was as genuine and welcoming as any place I visited in Sarajevo. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and spacious. I ordered the lamb shank; with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The meat easily fell off the bone, melted in my mouth, and paired perfectly with the potatoes and veggies. My friends opted for the Wiener Schnitzel and Paris Schnitzel, both of which they enjoyed. I also took the opportunity to meet the owner, with friends from his hometown and extended family. I will be back. Walla--thank you in Bosnian! ”
“ Never have I experienced such great service. Food was delicious, definitely worth it and definitely will be back. The waiter was top notch. My son has autism and the waiter was very polite, friendly, patient with him. The bakery next door was also good. ”
“ Nice service and food in a bar style restaurant. The food was good and it all came with fresh baked bread. ”
“ This one is a bit old but definitely still worth sharing. I've drove past this spot quite a few times and always wondered what it was. As it turns out, one of my friends loves this spot so we grabbed some dinner. We both ordered a flatbread style dish - mine was stuffed with feta cheese and my friends got a ground beef version. These were my favorite at Al Bos. Flaky, buttery layers of dough with a savory filling. I got this massive platter of meats because I couldn't decide on anything. Honesty felt like a little kid ordering chicken tenders again. It wasn't particularly amazing but I enjoyed it. The skewer and patties were decent but a little greasy for my taste. The rice came out cold while some of the other items were blazing hot. Owner was nice and the place was clean and quiet. I'd go back again, especially for their baked items. ”
“ Fun, tasty, clean, original. People were nice and helpful when we explained we had never had this type of food before. ”
“ It's hard to stay away from Al-Bos their items are so good! Every time I've visited the service was superb! I love the European feel Al-Bo's offers. This is also a place you can catch the World Cup games! A few of my favorites are Cappuccino- frothy and perfect. Nice espresso always made fresh. Borek with cheese & beef- my favorite! This Phyllo dough stuffed with cheese or beef is always cooked fresh. This is crispy and delicious! Baklava- I enjoy this with the cappuccino because it's very sweet but not overwhelming! Everything comes out fresh and delicious! They have a market right next store which is part of their business. They have imported items like drinks, cheeses and beer/wine. If you want authentic Mediterranean/Eastern Europe flavors I would highly recommend! ”
“ One of my favorite meals I've had in Grand Rapids. I can't believe I've never gone before. I had a flight delay at GRR so ended up coming here for lunch. We got some bread for free (it's a bakery, after all) and I ordered an Orangina to start, which made me reminiscent of trips to France. The cheese burek (filled pastry made with phyllo dough), stuffed with ricotta and feta, was warm and flaky and just to die for. I could probably eat it every day. It reheated really well in the toaster oven the next day, too! I also got the mini cevapi, which includes 5 hand-shaped, case-less Balkan sausages, lepina bread, diced onions, sour cream, and a delicious roasted red pepper sauce. I'm getting hungry just writing this review...can't wait to eat here again sometime! ”
“ Simple and good! One of the best places to visit to try Bosnian street food. I am a big fan of thier boruak and sausage sandwich. The service is good and people are friendly in this place. Cozy vibes and warm. Definitely coming here again. ”
